A humble beginning
My mother was a teacher for 40 years and at her job was always on her feet all day, giving lessons to her students.
I remember as a child, she used to say, "Rebecca, aging always begins with a weakness in the feet."

Working on her feet for so many years and wearing uncomfortable shoes caused deformation and bunions in her feet. The constant use of closed shoes without a support insole and with a heel caused her arch to collapse and develop calluses in different areas. My mother constantly complained of redness on one of her toes from the constant rubbing against the overlapping internal parts of her shoes.
It was ironic to see my mother constantly complaining of her foot pain even though my father had a company dedicated to producing comfort shoes for Italian brands. Unfortunately, none of the models that my father produced in the factory were satisfactory for my mother.
In view of this situation, I set a goal of developing and making shoes for my mother that would really help her walk without pain and allow her to feel comfortable.

As an animal rights advocate and environmental activist, I met with a group of expert shoe-making engineers and we created prototypes of shoes that were not made from animal skins. We looked for the softest and lightest materials we could find and developed some concepts in our mold and shoe-last factory.
After several months of efforts, we were able to create seamless, no-overlap, no-lining designs, I incorporated an insole concept based on the science of plantar acupressure and reflexology, then I added natural rubber inserts into the out-sole to give them grip and stability.
The result was extraordinary, when my mother tried on the first pair, she said that she could not believe it, she walked comfortably without pain and without anything that rubbed her feet. At that moment, my vegan brand was born, and I decided to put my name on it.
I transformed my father's shoe factory into a new business dedicated to making one-of-a-kind shoes to satisfy the need of walking comfortably. I wanted to improve people's lives by introducing holistic ideas into my shoe designs.
At first, I just wanted to make a soft and comfortable pair of shoes for my mom, as she was suffering from constant pain in her bunions. Then other people started asking me for shoes like these.
